Premium revealed that they were working on a Freecoaster at Interbike 2005.  It looks just like a cassette and uses a mechanism quite different from any existing design. A lot of people said that it would create a lot of stress on the “pawls”. The people who have ridden it say that the coaster is nearly seamless. It will be interesting to see if they do ever come out with it (they are not known for being the fastest in the world). Well, here is a pic from Interbike:
